William Earl Stannard Sr.

William Earl Stannard Sr., age 74, formerly of Wascott and Solon Springs, WI, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 7, 2024 at Dove Healthcare in Superior, WI.  He was born on August 1, 1950 in St. Croix Falls, WI, the son of Newell and Eldora (Gehrke) Stannard. 

William was a past Fire Warden and Town Supervisor for the town of Wascott.  He enjoyed the beauty of the Northwoods and was an avid hunter.  He also enjoyed cowboy action pistol competitions and competed in the IPSIC.  William was very artistic and was a skilled leather worker. 

He is survived by his two children, William Stannard Jr. and Alina Stannard; his grandchildren, Brianna Hoyt and Natalya Mills; his great-grandchildren, Addy, JJ and Cody; his sister, GeorgAnn Geisinger; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends. 

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
