William G. “Bill” Labushevicz, age 90, a resident of Gordon, died on Tuesday, August 11, 2020, at Hayward Health Services after a short illness.
Bill was born on January 14, 1930, in Chicago, Illinois, to parents George and Mary (Futa) Labushevicz. As a child, the family moved out of the city to Elmwood Park, Illinois. They would buy their home in Elmwood Park in 1955 and live there until a year after Therese died in 2004, selling it in 2005, and moving to Gordon, Wisconsin. Bill and Therese loved to ice fish, dance, and spoil their many nieces and nephews together.
Bill is survived by his many nieces and nephews and sister-in-law Marie Lewandowski. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Therese, his parents, and his brothers and sisters: John, Ann, Walter “Eddie”, Andrew, Joe, Kay Kovar, Mike, and Stella Calamia.
Prayers were said for Bill in recent Masses at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Solon Springs, Wisconsin, by Father James Kinney. His cremated remains will be interred with his wife at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Evergreen Park, Illinois. Solon Springs Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
