Obituary

William Annis, age 64, a resident of Solon Springs, died on Friday, May 12, 2023, at his home.

William David Annis was born on April 7, 1959, in New Richmond, Wisconsin to parents Kenneth and Phyllis (Clark) Annis.  After school, William traveled the United States working various jobs, until he settled in Sarona where he worked 20 plus years as an interpreter at Forts Folle Avoine between Webster and Danbury, Wisconsin.  Most recently, he worked as an Environmental Program Director at Camp Bovey in Gordon, Wisconsin, but his most important job was that of being grandpa to his grandchildren.

William is survived by his children: Eli (Nell-Rae Forrest) Annis of Solon Springs, Megan (Jimmy) Bernett of Cashton, Dylan (Miranda) Annis of Osceola, Sadie Peterson of Cashton, 6 grandchildren: Riley, Rory, Finn, Tygh, Ellen, Amery, brothers and sisters: Larry Annis, Roxann (Arthur) Sawyer, Susan Bond, and Charli Annis.

William is preceded in death by his parents Kenneth and Phyllis Annis.

Per William’s wishes, no public services will be held.  A private family service will be held at a later date. 

In lieu of flowers, gifts, or monetary donations, the family would appreciate if donors would plant a tree, or purchase a tree to be planted through a tree planting/ reforestation affiliation.
