Wendy A Katzmark

On Friday, July, 9, 2021, Wendy Ann (Youngquist) Katzmark, loving daughter, mother, sister, aunt, and friend, died unexpectedly of cardiac arrest in her home at the age of 51.

She was born on November 12, 1969, in Lapeer, Michigan, to Russell and Etta Youngquist.  She received her Associate of Science Degree from Hibbing Community College in Law Enforcement and her Bachelor of Science Degree in Social Work from the University of Wisconsin-Superior.  She spent the majority of her career in State Corrections and has been at the Stanley Correctional Institution as a Correctional Program Supervisor for the last several years.

Anyone who met Wendy loved her.  She was a kind, thoughtful, creative, generous, caring, beautiful soul who touched the lives of many and will be desperately missed by all of those who loved her so dearly.  She was a particularly devoted mother and daughter.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and her dog, Hazel.

She is survived by her daughter Morgan Katzmark, whom she adored, as well as her mother Etta Youngquist.  She also leaves behind brothers Jeffrey (Andre) Kline, Randy (Christina) Kline, Russell (Jodie) Youngquist, as well as nieces and nephews Jack, Lily and Samuel Kline, and Olive and Lucy Youngquist.  She is preceded in death by her father, Russell Youngquist.

Funeral services will be held at the St. Croix Presbyterian Church in Gordon, Wisconsin, on Saturday, July 24, 2021.  Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. with a memorial service to follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be held at the Gordon Memorial Cemetery following the service.
