Warren “Mick” Huntress passed away peacefully at home on December 26, 2025, at the age of 90.
Mick was a proud electrician and a 70-year member of Local 110. He dedicated many years to his trade and was known for his strong work ethic and commitment.
In retirement, Mick and his wife settled into their log cabin on 10 acres near a small lake northwest of Spooner, Wisconsin, where they made their home for the next 40 years. Mick’s greatest love was his family. Family was always most important to him, and he cherished the time spent with those he loved. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
Mick is preceded in death by loving wife, Ellie Huntress, son, Mark Huntress, Ricky Block and Sandee Guse.
He is survived by his children, Scott Huntress, Laureen Riebe (Jim), Lisa Weber (Jim), and Steve Huntress (Lisa), Ellie’s children; Jodee Block Staeheli, Ronnie Block (Kathy), Joel Block (Rose); grandchildren Scotty Huntress (Tena), Stephanie Huntress, Brent Reichstadt (Angel), Connar Huntress, Tatum Huntress, Taylor Huntress, Nicholas Riebe (Mai), Emily Hadley (Tyler), Matthew Huntress (Jaimie), Jessica Huntress (Jen), Chris Huntress, Kaitlin Martinez (Nick), Zach Weber (Ali), Nikki Schuette (Brennan), Nicole Holl (Joe), Natalie Cheskis (Anton), Tracy Ardoff (Fred), Amber Brown (Keegan), Casey Block, Tyler Block, Savannah Block, and Branden Block; and many great grandchildren, as well as other relatives and friends.
A memorial mass will be held on Thursday, January 8th, 2026 at 11:00 AM at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church at 409 N Summit Street, Spooner, WI where visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of Mass. A luncheon will follow at Lipsie Pines.
