Vannetta Ness

Vannetta Ann Ness, age 88, of Spooner, WI died on Sunday, July 28, 2024, at Marshfield Medical Center in Weston, WI.

Vannetta was born on May 14, 1936, in Arlington, IA, to parents Loyde and Matie (Ladwig) Cook. The family moved to the Spooner area where Vannetta attended and graduated from Spooner High School. Shortley after school she married Edward Ness and began her life as a hardworking farm housewife. In her younger years Vannetta enjoyed horseback riding. She also liked to travel to see the mountains, and especially enjoyed tending to her garden and watching birds.

Vannetta is survived by her husband, Eddie; children, Shelly, Lonnie (Hye Ran), and Christ; grandchildren, Carrie, Jessie, Zach, Lona, and Matthew; 12 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; sister, Vonna; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Josh; 3 sisters; and 3 brothers.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2024, from 3-6PM at the Anah Friendship Hall. A graveside service will follow at the Anah Cemetery at 6PM.
