Toni Jean Thalacker

Toni Jean Thalacker, age 72, of Shell Lake WI, and having lived for many years in Ellsworth WI, passed away June 25, 2025 at Spooner Health in Spooner WI, surrounded by her family.

Toni was born March 14, 1953 in Minneapolis MN to Carol Hanson Cheesebrough and Jerome Cheesebrough. Toni attended Roosevelt High School, South Minneapolis MN, graduating in 1971. She married Brian Thalacker in 1983. Together, they raised four children in Ellsworth WI. She performed administrative duties for several large area corporations over the years. Toni prioritized faith and her family above all. Toni valued every moment with them, never wanting the spotlight. She was always available with a kind word and a listening ear. She enjoyed baking, cooking, reading, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her friends and family.

Surviving are her children Aaron Larson of Tomah WI, Travis Larson (Katherine) of Red Wing MN, Jill Matthys (Jason) of Shell Lake WI, and Joseph Thalacker of Shell Lake WI as well as 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Toni is preceded in death by her parents, husband Brian, sister Terry, and brother Michael.  

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 28 at 1pm at Bratley-Nelson Funeral Home in Spooner, WI.
