Thomas Kappus Obituary

Thomas Kappus, age 83, a resident of Minong, died on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at Spooner Health in Spooner.

Thomas was born on May 2, 1940, in Shell Lake, Wisconsin to parents Bud and Effie (Lauger) Kappus. Thomas worked several places throughout his years at places like Presto in Eau Claire, the Potato Factory and the Cranberry Marsh both in Minong, and mostly with his brother Art providing property maintenance in the Minong Area. Thomas was an avid Packers fan, jokester and prolific storyteller to his friends who visited him at the bar, and enjoyed fishing.

Thomas is survived by his daughter Becky (Bruce) Gustafson, grandchildren: Karla, Dustin (Liz), Cory, Glenn, McKayla, great grandkids: Nicky, Drew, Mya, Ana, Gideon, Piper, Maddy, and Trey, several cousins, extended family, and many friends.

Thomas is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Bill, Charlie, and Art Kappus, and great grandson Eric Jon.
