Sharon O'Brien Obituary

Sharon Ann O’Brien (Harvey), Sunrise, September 10, 1941, Sunset, February 10, 2026 at her home on Teal Lake in Hayward, Wisconsin, formerly of St. Paul, Minnesota.

Sharon was born at St. Joseph’s Hospital and was the only child of Melville (Laddie) and Alice Harvey of South St. Paul, Minnesota.

Sharon is survived by her children, Timothy (Carolyn Martin) Kluender, Kelly (Gary) Seivert and Tamara (John) Wyland; stepchildren, Michael (Barbara) O’Brien, Patrick (Sue) O’Brien, Bridget O’Brien and Colleen (John) Berglund; grandchildren, Shae (Zach) Green, William & Wesley Martin, Keith (Rebecca) O’Brien, Devon Western, Lilly & Lucy O'Brien and Brien & Erin Berglund; great-grandchildren, Amelia Belisle and Alice Green, Brooke, Matthew & Dylan O'Brien and lifelong friends, Joanie Madison, Sherry Parmenter & Bill Bagnall.

Sharon is preceded in death by her parents, Melville & Alice Harvey, grandparents, William & Loretta Albright and her loving husband of fifty-one years, John R. O’Brien.

Sharon loved the Northwoods of Wisconsin and is where she lived for the last 49 years. Many memories were made of simply enjoying family while fishing, ice skating, swimming to Elephant Rock, hunting, sailing, packing lunch to go to the beach, and our endless pontoon rides on our beautiful Quiet Lakes.

She was artistic in every way possible—painting, drawing, playing the piano, gardening, knitting, sewing, and all sorts of arts and crafts. She also loved traveling, especially to Ireland and her favorite Caribbean Island of Sint Maarten, which fortunately she was able to visit this past spring for the last time.

We want to thank Regional Hospice Services & Palliative Care who provided our mother with the most caring & loving support that anyone would want for their family in her last days on earth. Special thank you to her wonderful nurses, Barb & Dawn and her loyal aide, Darcy.

In lieu of donations, it was our mother's wish that you please donate to the Quiet Lakes Improvement Association (QLIA) in her name. Teal Lake, on which her home is located, is one of the last three remaining Quiet Lakes in the entire State of Wisconsin. Her love of the woods, wildlife, water and serenity that surrounded her is why she remained here until the end of her life.

Sharon's Celebration of Life will begin at 11:00 am on Friday, March 6, 2026, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, 13645 Hwy. M, Cable, Wisconsin.  Roman Catholic Service will follow at the church starting at noon.
