Sally Lee Rampier

Sally Lee Rampier, age 86, of Bennett, WI passed away on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at Superior Rehabilitation in Superior, WI.

Sally was born on March 24, 1937, in Eau Claire, WI to parents Charles and Nellie (O’Brien) Heidemann. She attended Rock Mount School and graduated from Northwestern High School in Maple, WI. Sally married the love of her life, Bob Rampier on July 5, 1958, in Brule, WI and the couple lived in Bennett, WI, through their 65 years of marriage.

Sally was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and aunt. She loved to garden and had the most wonderful flower and vegetable gardens. She was a member of the Dahlia Flower Garden Club for many years. While indoors she enjoyed crocheting and knitting and watching animals. However, she was an avid outdoors woman and liked to go on hunting trips with Bob and fishing the Brule. She also liked to cross country ski and participated in the Birkebeiner.

Sally is survived by her loving husband, Bob Rampier; daughter, Linda (Rubin) Matthews; grandchild, William (Sarah) Matthews; great-grandchildren, Claire and Thor; siblings, Rex Heidemann and Mona Larson; sister-in-law, Ruth Strom; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Ginger Pearson; brothers, Charles Jr., Eugene, and Jerry; sisters-in-law, Joyce, Lucy, Deloris, and Karen; and brothers-in-law, Bill Larson, Earl Pearson, and Ronnie Strom.
