Rose Mary Moore

On Monday, March 20, 2023, our beloved mom, Rose Mary Moore (Stauffer), 68, passed peacefully at her home in Springbrook, WI, surrounded by family.

Rose was born on January 7, 1955, to Raymond and Patricia Stauffer in Clinton, Iowa. The family moved to Minong where Rose met Jerry through mutual friends and it was love at first sight.  They were married on March 9, 1974, and had four children.  This is a love that carried through until the end, both Rose and Jerry passing on March 20th (2022 and 2023).  This was likely their way to be sure the family gathers every year on March 20th to celebrate both of their lives!

As a mother, she was generous, loving and kind; as a grandmother, she spoiled the “kids” as much as she could, this included her granddogs.  She will be greatly missed by her family and extended family.

Rose was a dedicated mother first and foremost.  She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Angie Gerovac (Jeremiah),Tara Moore (AJ), Geri Moore (Guy), and Renee Moore.  Rose took extreme pride in her grandchildren, she was their biggest fan in anything they were passionate about – Halie Gerovac, Kelsie Gerovac, Trevor Brimblecom (Autumn), Steven Laport (Mackenzie), Shawn Laport (Sophia), Dillan Brimblecom (Liz), Shane Laport, and Shaylee Laport.

She is further survived by sister, Tracy Johnson (Carl); brother, Danny Stauffer; sister, Michelle Klintworth (Mike), special sister in law, Kathy Mustafa and many loving nieces, nephews and extended family.

Rose was preceded in death by her loving husband of 49 years, Jerry Moore; mother, Patricia Stauffer; father, Raymond Stauffer; sister, Beverly Stauffer; and granddaughter, Alexia Gerovac.

The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff at St. Croix Hospice for their care and compassion.  And a very special thank you to our family members who were our mom’s hospice angels:  Guy Evans, Bonny Johnson, Megan Mustafa, Monica Mustafa, and Gretchen Murphy (Kauffman).

The family is planning a private Celebration of Life to be held in the spring/summer of 2023.
