Ronald Leroy Rummel

    Ronald L. Rummel, age 82, of Sarona, WI passed away on Friday, August 12, 2022, at Maple Ridge Care Center in Spooner, WI. 

    Ronald Leroy Rummel was born December 18, 1939, in Trego, WI, the son of Clarence Rummel and Mary (Bently) Jensen.  He attended school in Sarona and Spooner and was a high school graduate.  He worked most of his life as a truck driver for a lumber fabrication company and as a punch press operator for a metal fabrication company.  Ron was joined in marriage to Judy Baker on July 10, 1970, in Watertown, SD.  He retired in 2005.  He enjoyed hunting, doing leather work and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle.  He was a great guy whom everyone loved. 

    Ron is survived by his wife of 52 years, Judy; four children, Ronald Rummel, Kevin Rummel, Lori Briones and adopted daughter, Betty Becker; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; siblings, Clarence Rummel Jr., Karen Kahl, Cathy Bednar, Sue Johnson, and Mickey Rummel; little sister, Deena Ragonese; and many nieces and nephews.

    He was preceded in death by his parents; three sons, Troy, Scott and Dale; sisters, Sharon Jerry, Roxanne Tabl and Dawn Quinton-Rummel.

    A graveside service will be held for Ron on Friday, August 19, 2022, at 4:00 PM at Evergreen Cemetery in Madge Township, WI.  A celebration of life gathering will be held for Ron at Rummel’s Tap in Sarona at a later date.
