Ronald (Ron) James Langdon passed away peacefully on Monday, November 4, 2024, at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Duluth, MN.
He was born May 16, 1936, in Minong, the son of James Henry and Dorris Darling (Pierce) Langdon. Ronald was united in marriage to Gloria Thayer on November 30, 1963, in Gordon, WI. Ron was a loving father to Douglas, Timothy, Diane, and Patrick. He was a welder for Fraser shipyards and many other boilermaker constructions. He had a love for music and sang karaoke at many places. He also owned a video store in Minong and knew many good people and loved seeing them daily. He built his home in Trego and lived there till his death.
He is survived by his wife Gloria; sons Douglas (Diana), Timothy (Lisa), and Patrick; daughter, Diane Langdon; and brother, Joseph (Bernadine) Langdon. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Dorris, sisters, Velma Kending, Doris Jean Beam, Mary Ellen Harper, and Allene Grissom.
A memorial service will be at the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Spooner, on Friday, November 15, 2024, at 12:00 noon. Lunch will follow at the Trego Town Hall.
