Obituary
Ronald Edward Bennis, age 72, of Shell Lake, passed away Thursday, August 10, 2023 at his home.
Ron was born December 23, 1950, in Cincinnati, OH to parents, Earl and Alice Bennis. Ron worked at the Washburn County Courthouse Land Records for 35 years. Everyone who knew him knew him as a funny, quiet guy that wore a genuine smile.
Ron loved animals and the peace that living in nature provided for the majority of his life, most of it being in the area. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and a fine craftsman that could build anything.
His most important quality was being an amazing father, everything that Ron did was always for the interest of his children. He is survived by his two children, Michael Bennis (TN) and Emma Bennis (MN) granddaughter Ripley Bennis (TN), brothers Howard Bennis (FL) and Jim Bennis (MN).
There is comfort in knowing that he will be welcomed in eternal paradise by many loved ones (and animals) who preceded him in death. May his life continue on in stories, memories, and in our hearts.
