Roger Bach, age 75, of Hayward, WI passed away on Thursday, May 2, 2019 in Snellsville, Georgia.
Roger Bach was born June 24, 1943 in Elmwood, WI the son of Jens and Eunice Bach. During his youth, Roger lived in Elmwood, WI, Mondovi, WI and then St. Paul, MN where he graduated from St. Paul Mechanic Arts High School in 1961. Roger joined the U.S. Navy on March 23, 1964 and served until his honorable discharge on February 21, 1968. While in the Navy he graduated from the US Naval Submarine School in 1964 and also earned the Good Conduct Medal and the National Defense Service Medal. After his time in service, Roger moved back to St. Paul, MN where he began work for 3M. He worked several years with 3M and then decided to move to northern Wisconsin where he could be closer to his parents and help care for them. Roger began work as a bus driver for children in the Hayward School District. Roger enjoyed playing cribbage, flower gardening, tending to his yard, cooking and studying the scriptures. He loved to help others and was a member of the Radisson Free Church.
Roger is survived by his four siblings, JoAnn Jensen of Radisson, WI, Phyllis Finseth of Eau Claire, WI, LeRoy (Jean) Bach of Pequoit Lakes, MN, Warren (Marlene) Bach of Snellsville, GA; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by an infant sister and his parents.
A memorial service celebrating Roger’s life will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, May 24, 2019 at the Radisson Free Church in Radisson, WI. There will be a time visitation one prior to the service at the church.
