Robert James Bohn, age 80, passed away peacefully with his family at his side on Monday, May 5, 2025 at his residence in Hayward, WI. He was born on January 20, 1945 in Laona, WI, the son of Harold and Juanita (Louse) Bohn. He was united in marriage to Jackie Jean Boeder on November 24, 1997 in Nevada City, Nevada.
Bob grew up on a farm in Towsend, WI before he and his family relocated to Tulelake, CA when he was 10 years old. There he worked in the fields topping onions and picking potatoes. In his spare time Bob enjoyed the outdoors fishing, camping and hunting. He worked as a retail clerk for Safeway in the Bay area of California for 45 years. He also cut and sold firewood, mostly larger orders for heating homes for the winter. Upon retirement, he and Jackie moved to Hayward, WI where he enjoyed collecting vintage clocks, radios, and old guns.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Jackie Boeder of Hayward, WI; his children, Rhonda Herner of Meridian, ID, Jodi Dickinson of Pleasanton, CA, and Stephen Dickinson of Pleasanton, CA; his grandchildren, Harlan Herner and Titan Dickinson; his sisters, Joyce Huffer and Donna Hogan; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents and some of his siblings.
All services and interment will be held privately.
