Richard Nicholas Buffa

Richard N. Buffa, age 78, of Cable, WI, passed away on Thursday, December 26, 2024, at his home.

Richard Nicholas Buffa was born December 6, 1946, in Chicago, IL the son of Edward and Frances (Sobol) Buffa.  Richard was raised in Chicago and graduated from Waller High School in 1964.  He worked for Pettibone Corp in Chicago on the assembly line before joining the US Navy on May 27, 1966.  On September 28, 1968, Richard united in marriage to Linda Mary Lang in Chicago.  Richard would serve his country for more than five years and would earn the National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal.  He was honorably discharged on February 29, 1972, and returned to Chicago and began training in the electrical department of Pettibone.  Richard then worked as an Electrical Union Member and worked at Forbes Electric, Shetland Properties and Argon National Laboratory doing electrical work.  Richard retired in 1998 and moved to Cable, WI where he enjoyed doing outdoor work with his chainsaw and tractor.

Richard is survived by his wife, Linda; two daughters, Michelle Buffa of Hayward, WI, Cheryllyn Buffa of Cable, WI; two grandchildren, Richard (Tiffany Brady) Kampf of Chetek, WI, Remy Deyo of Cable, WI; great grandchild, Exzavier Brady; and grand puppy, Reggie.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents.

A private family gathering will be held for Richard.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Hayward Regional Hospice.
