Raymond Harris Obituary

Raymond James Harris, age 68, of Hayward, WI, passed away on Thursday, March 13, 2025, at Essentia Health, St. Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth, MN.

Raymond was born on October 8, 1956, in Duluth, MN, the son of Gordon and Betty (Antilla) Harris. Raymond was raised in Michigan until the age of 10 when Raymond moved to California with his mother.  Raymond graduated from high school in California and then worked in a Sawmill for a short time.  He worked multiple jobs until retiring from McClellan Air Force Base.  Raymond was joined in marriage to Mary Lou Houssell on March 7, 1996, in Las Vegas, NV.  Together, Ray and Mary Lou began traveling throughout the country in their motor home and taking cruises in the Caribbean.  They also enjoyed traveling to Hawaii and took 8 trips there.  Ray also enjoyed camping, boating and riding on his ATV and finding numerous ways to get it stuck.  He loved being a dad.   

Raymond is survived by his wife, of 29 years, Mary Lou Harris; his son, Jeremy (Tabitha) Harris of Rio Linda, CA; his daughter, Nichole (Dan) Crum of Lincoln, CA; two step-children, Sara (Ryan) Archambeault of South Range, WI, George Houssell of St. Paul, MN; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; his father, Gordon (Luann) Harris of New Castle, CA; his siblings, Denby, June, Leonor, and Miguel; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

Raymond is preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara “Dawn” Ward; his mother Betty Olivares; and his brother, Danny Harris.

A private family gathering is being held for Raymond.
