Patricia Ann (Engler) Carlson

Patricia Ann (Engler) Carlson, age 86, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family in Spooner, WI, on November 13, 2024. Born on May 11, 1938, Patricia was known for her sweet nature, integrity, thoughtfulness, dependability, and fun-loving spirit. She had an impeccable ability to keep track of everything and everyone, always ready to lend a helping hand.

Patricia graduated from Aquinas High School in La Crosse, WI, and dedicated 43 years of her career to the Trane Company, where she made numerous lifelong friendships. Some of her favorite things included travel, spending time at the cabin, playing cards, sunbathing, cooking, entertaining, deer hunting, going on road trips, hosting parties, visiting casinos, and enjoying sunsets.

She leaves behind a cherished family, including her loving husband of 55 years, Donald Roy Carlson; her daughter, Deah (Keith) Wenberg; her son, Jason (Stacey) Carlson; grandchildren, Lexi (Nick) Gmiterko, Dane Carl, Colton Carlson, Connor Carlson, Elise Wenberg, Lauryn Wenberg; siblings, Annette (Gary) Olson, Linda Otto, and in-laws Joanne Warner, Dan (Renee) Carlson, David (Shirley) Carlson, Sandra (John) Laurich, and Doug (Holly) Carlson. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Evelyn and John Engler; brothers Parris and James Engler; sister Barbara Galarce; grandson, Carter Carlson; and brother-in-law, Michael Warner.

A service to honor Patricia’s life will be held on May 10, 2025, at Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Catholic Church, 28460 Co Rd H, Webster, WI 54893. The visitation will take place at 10:00 a.m. ahead of the 11:00 service. A luncheon will follow at McKenzie Landing, 1350 County Hwy E, Spooner, WI 54801.

A private interment will be held at a later date at Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery.

Patricia’s life was a testament to her loving nature and the deep bonds she nurtured with everyone she knew. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
