Pamela Jean Dunn

Pamela Jean Dunn, 74, of Shell Lake, Wisconsin, passed away on Saturday, June 6, 2026.

Born on November 1, 1951, in Hopkins, Minnesota, Pamela was the daughter of Walter and Elizabeth Thurber. Pamela graduated from Alexandria Area High School class of 1970. Pamela and her husband, David, went on to build a successful business that they built from the ground up together, working side by side for many years.

She will be remembered for her unwavering love, kindness, and selflessness. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, she always put the needs of others before her own. Her family was the center of her world, and she found her greatest joy in caring for those she loved, especially her children and grandchildren.

Known for her compassionate heart and incredible work ethic. She faced life's challenges with grace and determination. She was the kind of person others could always count on—a source of comfort, wisdom, and unconditional love. Her legacy lives on through the countless lives she touched with her generosity, dedication, and endless devotion to her family.

Pamela is survived by her husband of 55 years of marriage, David Dunn; their son, Scott (Jessica) Dunn; and five grandchildren, Jaeden, Grace, John, Devin, Blane; her sister, Janet Dennis.  She was preceded in death by her parents Walter and Elizabeth Thurber; and her daughter, Nicole Dunn.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at Lakeview United Methodist Church, 23980 County Road X, Shell Lake, Wisconsin 54871. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by the service at 11:00 a.m.

Family and friends are invited to join the family for a time of fellowship immediately following the service at the Dunn family home, 23801 County Road X, Shell Lake, Wisconsin 54871 (approximately 1/4 mile south of the church on County Road X). Lunch will be provided at the family home beginning at approximately 12:00 p.m.
