Nancy J. Shaheen

Nancy J. Shaheen, age 82, of Hayward, WI passed away on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at her home

Nancy Jean was born April 25, 1937 in Minneapolis, MN the daughter of Joseph and Doris (Cosner) Fox.  She grew up in the Minneapolis area and attended school there.  She worked for a short time and then was married to Harvey H. Boscoe.  Nancy and Harvey started a family in Minneapolis before Harvey passed away.  Nancy moved her family to the state of Washington where she would be closer to her sister.  In Washington, Nancy met and married Robert Schaefer.  Together, Nancy and Robert moved to Minneapolis where Nancy operated a family store.  They then moved to Memphis, TN where Nancy managed a Stop and Go store.  Nancy and Robert also served as foster parents to numerous children while in Minneapolis and Memphis.  Nancy then went to work for Bates Properties in Memphis as an office manager.  Nancy was joined in marriage to Aleck R. Shaheen in Memphis.  After her retirement, Nancy moved to northern Wisconsin where she eventually settled in Hayward.  Nancy enjoyed reading, her pets and her morning coffee on the porch.

Nancy is survived by her three children, Kimitha Boscoe of Hayward, WI, Don (DeDee) Boscoe of St. Paul, MN, Shanna Schaefer of Hayward, WI; four grandchildren, Damon Boscoe, Tom Boscoe, Stan Boscoe, and Charli Tapia-Smith; four great grandchildren, Delila, Jasmine “Turtle”, Brook “Bulldozer, Vanessa “Frog”; one sister, Cecelia Ulmer of Virginia; three step children, Russell, Theresa and Keith Shaheen; one sister-in-law, Ute Fox of Sarasota, FL; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three husbands; two sisters; and one brother.

Per Nancy’s wishes, no public services are planned at this time.
