Nancy Carol Marshall, age 82, passed away peacefully at her home in Spooner, WI, on Wednesday, July 8, 2026. Born on August 24, 1943, in Grantsburg, WI, Nancy was the daughter of Axel and Elsie (Abrahamson) Rubin. She grew up in Siren, WI, where she attended school and formed the foundation of the values she carried throughout her life.
On September 29, 1962, Nancy married the love of her life, Myron Marshall, in Siren. Together they began their life in Minneapolis, where Nancy worked for Honeywell until 1971. The couple later made their home in the Spooner area. Nancy worked at Stresau Labs before joining Shell Lake State Bank, where she dedicated many years of service until her retirement in 2011.
Nancy’s greatest joy was her family. She cherished time spent with her loved ones and took pride in being a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, and spending time outdoors. A passionate sports fan, Nancy especially loved cheering on the Green Bay Packers and never missed a game. She was also a faithful member of the Spooner Church of the Nazarene, where her presence and kindness were deeply appreciated.
Nancy is survived by her beloved husband of 63 years, Myron Marshall of Spooner, WI; her daughters Debbie Marshall of River Falls, WI; Michelle (Mitch) Bahr of Shakopee, MN; and Sarah (Eric) Milone of St. Anne, IL; her granddaughter Keiko Lee (Nick Griffy) of Vadnais Heights, MN; her grandson Dylan Spatenka of Shakopee, MN; her great-granddaughter, Mabel Spatenka; and her sister Judi Rubin of Minneapolis.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Axel and Elsie Rubin, and her beloved grandson, Andrew Marshall.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at the Spooner Church of the Nazarene, N4584 Wis 253, just south of Spooner. Visitation will take place at the church from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service. Interment will be held privately.
