Nancee Lee Elm, age 74, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 21, 2021 at her residence in Solon Springs. WI. She was born on September 24, 1947 in Duluth, MN, the daughter of George and Nancy (Hanik) Erickson. She was united in marriage to Richard C. “Hitch” Elm.
Nancee was a 1965 graduate of Duluth Central High School and later attended the University of Minnesota Duluth. She owned and operated Book$ to Balance providing bookkeeping and tax services for several contractors and businesses in the Solon Springs area. She enjoyed gardening and caring for her property, especially finding her happy place putting on her headphones and mowing her the yard. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed, motorcycling with Hitch, hiking, camping, cross country skiing, and bird watching. Nancee was an avid reader and spent time reading her bible and praying each day. She was a woman of deep faith and had a wonderful relationship with the Lord. She touched so many hearts with her willingness to share the knowledge of her personal walk with God and her eagerness to help people through difficult times.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Richard “Hitch” Elm of Solon Springs; her children, Michael (Laura) Lagerquist of Solon Springs and Summer (Dan) Schutte of Tavares, FL; her grandchildren, Wyatt, Kaydence, Drew and Sarah; her siblings, Barbara Alexander of Duluth, MN and George Norton "Bud" Erickson of Oshkosh, WI; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Nancee is preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Friday, October 29, 2021 at the Solon Springs Community Center in Solon Springs, WI. A memorial service will follow at 7:00 P.M. at the Solon Springs Community Center. Pastor Ben Kidder will officiate. Interment will be private.
