Michelle Margaret “Shelly” Daleiden, age 53, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 23, 2026.
Shelly was born on June 17, 1972, to Richard and Therene “Terri” (Hogan) Daleiden at St. Benedict's Hospital. She grew up in Wisconsin and graduated from Plum City High School in 1990. Following high school, she attended St. Paul Beauty School, where she pursued her passion for beauty and creativity.
Shelly had a loving and generous heart. Though she had no children of her own, she treasured her nieces and nephews as if they were her own children. She was especially honored to serve as the godmother to her niece, Arabella Samp. She shared a special bond with her beloved dog, Rocky, who brought her great joy and companionship throughout the years.
Shelly loved music and singing, crafting, camping, reading, and playing games. One of her greatest joys was spending time in God’s Word with family and friends. Her faith was an important part of her life, and her kindness, warmth, and love touched everyone who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Lester and Mary (O’Keefe) Hogan, and Paul and Danessa (Hoffman) Daleiden; her nephew, Bradley Daleiden; and her brother-in-law, Kevin Kelsey.
Shelly is survived by her parents, Richard and Terri (Hogan) Daleiden of Minong, Wisconsin; her siblings, Shawn (Joyce) Daleiden of Bullhead City, Arizona, Brandi Kelsey of Pine Island, Minnesota, Leroy (Kari) Daleiden of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, Jeffrey (Heidi) Daleiden of Minong, Wisconsin, and Angela (Mark) Samp of Fennville, Michigan. She is also survived by 19 nieces and nephews and 19 great-nieces and great-nephews, all of whom she loved dearly.
Shelly was loved by all who knew her and will be deeply missed by many. Her memory will live on through the love she shared, the laughter she brought to others, and the faith she carried throughout her life.
A funeral service will be held on May 29, 2026, at Spooner Baptist Church in Spooner, WI at 11:00 am with a visitation starting at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Minong, WI at 2:00 pm.
Casket bearers will be nephews Jordan, Brandon, Joshua and David Daleiden, Kaleb Julian, and Trevor Hogan.
Honorary casket bearers will be her remaining nephews and nieces.
