Michael John Reiser

Michael “Mike” John Reiser, age 60, passed away on Tuesday, April 29, 2025 at his residence in Hayward, WI.  A devoted father, grandfather, and friend.  Mike touched countless lives with his warmth, humor and generous spirit. 

Mike was an outdoorsman through and through.  He loved the wilderness, especially the rugged beauty of Alaska, where he felt most at home.  A frugal and self-reliant man, Mike believed in living simply and with purpose, often off the land on his own terms.  He had a lifelong respect for the natural world and took pride in building, fixing and doing things with his hands, especially when it came to ALL THINGS WOOD! 

Though he was not always an easy man to understand, those that knew him best will remember his sense of self, his independence, and his unwavering belief in personal responsibility. 

He is survived by his wife, Carla; his sons, Cooper and Gunther (Alexis); his two granddaughters; his sister, Gina; and numerous nieces and nephews who will each carry forward a piece of his rugged spirit.

Mike is preceded in death by his parents; his stepson, Tyler; and many dear family members and friends. 

A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at The Well Community Church, 15880 US Highway 63 in Hayward.
