Michael Hollabaugh Obituary

Celebration of life for Michael A. Hollabaugh

Born July 4, 1960, to Joyce and Francis Hollabaugh in Brooklyn, New York. He served in the US Army in Germany 1979-1983. After his honorable discharge, he began his lifelong career as a truck driver- over the road, long haul, and management. Mike was married to Karen (Wied) Hollabaugh for 23 years. Mike was blessed with two biological children, Andrew (Krystal) Hollabaugh and Caitlyn Hollabaugh. Stepchildren, Jenny (Joe) Rothering, Sarah Widerski, Robyn Widerski, Ghislaine Kersten, Adrian (Kate) Kersten, Seth (Katrina Swalby) Kersten, and Elsie (Jake) Myer; grandchildren; brothers Gerard Hollabaugh and Le Roy Drayton; along with nieces, nephews, and their families. Preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother, Gabriel. Mike claims Matthew 27:51 as his life changing verse, "At that moment, the curtain in the sanctuary of The Temple was torn in two, from top to bottom." Its significance being that it was torn from top to bottom-God the Father tore the curtain. He had grown up believing that a priest was needed to draw near to God, but from this verse onward, he knew that he could approach God directly. This transformation occurred to him in his late 30's. Mike served as a trucker's chaplain, prison chaplain, church elder, became certified as a pastor and had the blessing to perform marriages, funerals, and to preach God's word. He remained faithful to God, sharing his testimony and preaching til the very end.

Mike met his eternal peace when God brought him home Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at home, surrounded by family, after a short battle with cancer.
