Marvin Reinolt, age 87, a resident of Solon Springs, Wisconsin, died on Thursday, October 24, 2024, at Aspen Health and Rehab in Middle River, Wisconsin.
Marvin was born on August 26, 1937, in Rice Lake, Wisconsin, to parents Hilbert and Verona (Frank) Reinolt. He grew up in the Rice Lake/Chetek area, and in 1959 was united in marriage to Sherryl Anderson. The couple moved to the Union Grove, Wisconsin, area in 1963 and then moved to Minong, Wisconsin, in 1971 to assist his mother after the death of his father. While living in Minong, Marvin worked at Link Brothers until moving to Gordon where he found work with the Dahlberg Electric Company working at their hydroelectric dam. He later became a lineman, and then the couple purchased the Big Bobber Bait Store in Gordon. After selling the bait store, the couple purchased a trailer that they parked at Swanson’s and purchased a second trailer that they used to travel to Laughlin, Nevada, for the winters. They became permanent residents of Solon Springs in 2001.
Marvin is survived by his children Anitta (Ron Thompson) Reinolt, Butch (Dee) Reinolt, and Sandy Reinolt; grandchildren Jackie, Derek (Maddy), Brittany, and B.J. (Mathew); and 15 great-grandchildren.
Marvin is preceded in death by his wife Sherryl, parents Hilbert and Verona, and sister Irene “Honey”.
A gathering to honor and celebrate Marvin’s life will be held at the Solon Springs Funeral Home on Saturday, November 9, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. followed by a luncheon at the Gordon Town Hall.
