Marvin Bray Obituary

Marvin Cecil Bray, age 90, or Spooner, WI, passed away peacefully on Monday November 3, 2025. His beloved wife of 71 years, Marian, passed away in July, 2025. They are now together in eternity.

Marvin and Marian were life-long residents of Spooner Wisconsin. Marvin was active in the community as an elected member of the Spooner City Council and spent time as a part-time police officer. Marvin was a member of the local Masons and served as Grandmaster for the Spooner Lodge #260. He worked for many years at Dahl's Furniture store in sales and appliance repair. In his later years, Marvin worked as a custodian for the Spooner school system until he retired.

Putting his many skills to work he built an addition to their home and designed and built a gazebo that both Marvin and Marian enjoyed spending time with family. Not satisfied with home improvement projects, Marvin also restored an WWII Jeep and could fix just about anything.

An avid fisherman, Marvin enjoyed taking his boat out on the many local lakes fishing for Muskies and Northern Pike. Marvin spend hours making his own fishing lures crafted for each lake, time of season and species of fish. Some of his prized catches are now on display at the Spooner Department of Natural Resources.

He is survived by his brothers Vernon and Grant and his sister Donna and his son, Randall (Ann) Bray of Prosper, TX; his grandsons, Sorenson, Erick (Mary), Kirk (Kay) and Alec, and his great-grandchilden, Lilly, Edie, Leslie and Damon. In addition to his parents, Marvin is preceded in death by his daughter, Katherine Ann Sorensen and his brothers Raymond jr., Robert, Leonard and sisters Rosemary and Betty.

All services and interment will be held privately.
