Marian Katherine Bray, age 90, of Spooner, WI, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 27, 2025 at Our House Memory Care in Rice Lake, WI. She was born on February 25, 1935 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Fred and Anna (Steigerwald) Herdt. She was united in marriage to Marvin Cecil Bray on January 15, 1954 in Pine City, MN.
Marian started her working career as a clerk for the National Tea grocery store. She took time off to dedicate herself to raising her children before returning to work for Schultz Brothers 5 and Dime and later the Spooner Outlet. Marian liked to use the gazebo to host her friends for coffee. She and Marvin traveled the country in their motorhome, with many fishing trips taken to Canada.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 71 years, Marvin; her son, Randall (Ann) Bray of Prosper, TX; her grandsons, Erik (Mary), Kirk (Kay) and Alec; and her great-grandchildren, Lilly, Edie, Leslie and Damon.
In addition to her parents, Marian is preceded in death by her daughter, Katherine Ann Bray and her brother, David Herdt.
