Linda Jean (Martin) Rohlfing

Linda Jean Rohlfing, age 70, of Stone Lake, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 23, 2022, at Marshfield Medical Center in Rice Lake, WI.  Born April 1, 1952, in Chicago, IL, she was the daughter of Donald and Virginia (Scanlan) Martin.  She was united in marriage to Gary Craig Rohlfing on September 14, 1974, in Lombard, IL. 

Linda was known and loved for her sassy and stubborn nature and kept that same fire all the way until the end.  She was playful at heart, often hitting her husband with her trusty blow-up mallet when he attempted to kiss her.  She loved to read; her favorite books were by Dean Koontz.  Linda enjoyed spending time doing puzzles with her grandchildren.  She was very competitive often getting very vocal while playing cards and games.  She spent a lot of time watching Food Network programs and was a good cook herself.  Most of all, Linda enjoyed her family and loved having her grandchildren around. 

She is survived by her children, Mathew (Elisha) Rohlfing of Cable, Charles “Bart” (Karla) Rohlfing of Hanford, CA, Jennifer (fiancé Mike Gettle) Rohlfing of Winter Springs, FL, Jaclyn Rohlfing of Cable, and Chelsea (fiancé Scott King) Rohlfing of Cable; her grandchildren, Jacob, Mikey, Alyssa, Nathan, Tyler, Anna, Jaelyn, Logan, Hunter and Charlotte; her brothers, Dan (Barbara) Martin and Steve (Laurie) Martin both of Illinois; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

In addition to her parents, Linda is preceded in death by her husband, Gary Rohlfing.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. on Thursday, July 28, 2022, at the Hayward Funeral Home, 15571 W. County Highway B in Hayward.  A funeral service will follow the visitation at 4:00 P.M. at the funeral Home.  Pastor Tim Young will officiate.  Interment will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
