Kevin Bruce Sheptick was born September 3, 1962, in Park Ridge, IL the son of Bruce Patterson and Annette C. (Patterson) Heck (Sheptick). He was raised in Isanti, MN, but during the summer months Kevin would travel to Couderay, WI where he would work on his grandparents and uncle’s farm. After graduating from high school in Cambridge, MN Kevin moved to Couderay to work with his uncle on the farm. Kevin continued his love of farming for thirty-five years, in Radisson, WI. While farming, Kevin also worked as a school bus driver in the Birchwood School District for over twenty years, but on his “free time” worked out in the woods logging. Kevin retired from farming and began working at American Excelsior Company in 2018 as an operator and sawyer. Kevin served on the board of Rusk and Sawyer County FSA Committee and president of the United Steel Workers Local 460 union. Kevin enjoyed hunting for deer, traveling to see family, and trips to the casino.
Kevin is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years, Sheryl; three children, Christina (Joseph) Kinsley of Neenah, WI, Robin (Emmanuel) Segura of Bloomington, MN, Matthew (Christina Mattson) Sheptick of Exeland, WI; three grandchildren, Isabella, Levi and Wyatt; step grandchild, Teagen; mother, Annette Heck, Aitkin MN; his siblings, Laurie (Don) Strehlo of Spring Lake Park, MN, Jodi (Tim) Morell of Lino Lake, MN; James (Jenill) Patterson of Exeland, WI; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and especially aunt Roslie and cousin Victoria Sheptick.
He was preceded in death by his father Bruce Patterson; stepfather, Phil Heck and niece, Shelby Sandahl.
His family is incredibly proud of the man he was, always putting other people’s needs before his own and the hardest working man they knew. He will forever be loved and deeply missed by all.

A time of gathering with the family will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Monday at the church. Interment will be in the Greenwood Cemetery in Couderay at a later date.
