Katie Troyer, 83, of Stone Lake, Wisconsin, passed away in her home on Friday, March 27, 2026.
She was born on January 19, 1943 to the late Joe J and Sarah Weaver. On April 22, 1965 she married Lester Troyer who survives.
Katie was a member of Northwoods Mennonite Church in Hayward, Wisconsin where she had many dear friends.
Mom’s gracious personality complemented her joy in the Lord. She drew strength from Scripture and faithfully prayed for her family. She won many friends with her keen interest in people. Her love for nature found expression in tending flower beds, feeding hummingbirds and fishing. Mom’s hospitality showed itself in her delicious meals and lovely dishes. She was famous among her family for her homemade caramels and golden applesauce. She will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her husband Lester and their children, Allen (Brenda) Troyer of Ohio, Jerry (Ivy) Troyer of Romania, Mark (Margaret) Troyer of Arizona, Conrad (Kristen) Troyer of Arizona and JoAnn (Linwood) Hershey of Wisconsin; 21 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; brother Dan (Ruth) Weaver of Ohio.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her infant brother and an infant grandson.
