June Marion (Nygren) Dye

June Marion Dye, age 96, of Radisson, passed away on Sunday, February 21, 2021 at Maple Ridge Care Center in Spooner, WI.  She was born on June 12, 1924 in Superior, WI, the daughter of Carl and Olga (Benson) Nygren.  She was united in marriage to James C. Dye on February 25, 1944. 

June had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed spending time with friends at her bowling leagues at Riverside Lanes in Hayward and Birthday Club.  She also liked games of chance and her trips to the local casino.  June was a tremendous baker and enjoyed taking care of others.

She was a faithful member of the First Presbyterian Church of Radisson.  June proudly serviced with the American Legion Auxiliary for over 50 years.

She is survived by her daughter, Arlene (Herb) Turner of Radisson, WI; her grandchildren, Angela, Barry, Vance, Robin, Kimberly, James and Justen; and many great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, June is preceded in death by her loving husband, James C. Dye; her son, Robert Dye; her grandson, Herbie Turner; her brothers, Leonard and Carl Nygren; and her sisters, Helen Monberg and Carol Krause.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, February 25, 2021 at Hayward Funeral Home, 15571 W. County Highway B in Hayward, where visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of the service.  Interment will be in Radisson Cemetery in the spring.
