Judith Ann McLean, age 86, of Hayward, WI and formerly of Stone Lake, WI passed away on Saturday, October 14, 2023, at her home. She was born November 30, 1936, in Radisson, WI, the daughter of Hugh and Amanda (Moyer) McLean.
She graduated from Birchwood High School in 1954. Judith lived in a variety of places including Tennessee, Minneapolis, and Kenosha. Eventually, she moved back to Stone Lake, WI. Judith pursued several occupations that included spending time as a nanny, waitress, and Avon sales representative. She spent the majority of her career as a sawyer at Hayward Dimensions lumber mill and retired as a foreman.
Judith was active in her community as a 4-H leader and Sunday School teacher. She was a lifelong member of Wayside Chapel. She had a great sense of adventure and enjoyed road trips. She also enjoyed puzzles, reading and spending time with her family. She especially loved beach days and picnics with her great granddaughters.
Judith is survived by her daughter, Heather McLean of Duluth, MN; granddaughter, Amanda (John) Lilla; and great grandchildren, Bethany, Hadley and Ivy.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Jane McLean; and brother, Wilson McLean.
A memorial service celebrating Judith’s life will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 3, 2023 at Hayward Funeral Home, 15571 W. County Highway B, with Pastor Tim Young officiating. A time of gathering with family and friends will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home. Cake and coffee to follow the service.
