John Michael Trossen

John Michael Trossen, age 57, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, December 2, 2024 at Tamarack Health in Hayward, WI.  He was born on April 13, 1967 in Racine, WI, the son of Donald and Janice (Rizzo) Trossen. 

John was the owner and operator of the Pier Country Store in Lake Geneva, WI for many years.  He was also a respected fishing guide on Lake Geneva and made many friends doing what he loved.  He had a passion for old trucks, especially ’67 to ’72 Chevy pickups.  John moved to the Northwoods with his beloved dog, Charlie, just outside of Hayward where he bought land and was working hard to complete his dream of owning a bison ranch.  He was an amateur gunsmith and really enjoyed building guns. 

He is survived by his loving daughter, Josie Trossen of Mt. Vernon, WA, and many dear family members and friends. 

He is preceded in death by his parents.
