John Marino Obituary

John “Jack” Thomas Marino was born in Chicago on November 23rd, 1947, and raised in Spooner.  He spent years in Saint Paul, and he started a family in La Crosse.  Everywhere Jack went, he brought smiles to everyone's face with jokes, eager to help no matter what anyone needed.  He worked for many years as maintenance for the Onalaska School District, though he had many professions over many years.

Jack passed away peacefully at home in Sarona on July 4th, 2024 at the age of 76.  He is reunited with his parents John and Lena, his brother Marty, his sister-in-law Mary, and many friends.

Jack is survived by his wife Vickie, his son John, his son-in-law Willis Cruz Jr, his father-in-law Gene Powell, his mother-in-law Maralyn Powell, his sisters-in-law Kathy Lawrence and Nancy Powell, Nancy's significant other Mike Chasteen, Kathy's husband Steve Lawrence, many nieces and nephews, and many other loved ones.

Jack will be missed dearly, but he will live on forever in our hearts with every laugh and every witty joke.
