John F Huray

John Francis Huray, 94, of Superior, WI (originally from Bennett, WI) died Saturday, March 30, 2024 at Villa Marina Health and Rehab.

John was born Nov. 17, 1929, to Thomas, Sr. and Kristina Huray, of Bennett, where he lived most of his life.  He is preceded in death by his wife Audrey (Plucar) Huray  (2006), his parents, and siblings Joseph Chelik, Martha (Chelik) Lata, Peter Chelik, Christine Chelik, and Thomas Huray, Jr.

He is survived by his 7 children Susan (Bryan) Sutherland, Judy (Don Wirth) Hensel, Leonard (Rosie) Huray, Steven (Tim Stokey) Huray, David (Julie) Huray, Robert (Carmen VanderVenter) Huray, Thomas (Nancy) Huray; 17 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law Howard (Marilyn) Plucar; sister-in-law Muriel Larson; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

A special thank you to the staff at Villa Marina for the care given and love shown to John; to the Essentia Superior Hospice team for their care; and to all who shared their love through prayer and visiting with John and his family. 

A funeral service for John will be held Friday, April 5th, 2024 at 11:00 am with visitation beginning at 10:00 am at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Lake Nebagamon, WI.  A meal will be provided following the service in the church community hall.
