Jewelle Lee Greer

Jewelle L. Greer, age 76, of Hayward, WI passed away on October 10, 2023, at Water’s Edge Care Center in Hayward. 

Jewelle Lee was born June 9, 1947, in Harvey, IL, the daughter of Robert and Josephine (Crosby) Everts.  She was raised in Illinois and graduated from Eisenhower High School in Blue Island, IL.  She continued her education for a year and then began working, undertaking a variety of occupations!  While she lived in the Mokena/Frankfort area, Jewelle worked as a school bus driver, a bookkeeper for a Chevrolet dealership, and a bank teller.  In 1990, Jewelle moved to Hayward, WI where she worked for Lost Land Lake Lodge as a waitress.  She also worked as a bookkeeper.  Jewelle enjoyed reading, crocheting, completing puzzles, baking/cooking and playing bingo.  She was a woman of faith. She served and cared for others by helping at the Hayward Wesleyan Church, cooking for the Meals on Wheels program and volunteering at thrift stores.  She loved her family dearly and was an avid pet and nature lover. 

Jewelle is survived by her four children, Karyn (Ron) Czarnecki, Laura (Eric) Wiktor, Greg Greer and Jennifer Greer, twelve grandchildren, Ron, Joe, Kyle, Kayla, Jordan, Dylan, Damon, Tatum, Gracie, Cole, Jason, and Tessa; and four great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her half brother.
