Jerry Hill passed away peacefully at his home on March 22, 2026.
Jerry was born in Spooner, Wisconsin on July 18th, 1967, to Jerry Edwin Hill and Shelby Jean Ann (Cloud) Hill. He lived life on his own terms and valued independence while always being thoughtful of others. Jerry enjoyed spending time with family and friends and was always willing to lend a helping hand.
He worked at Tri State Lumber since 1990 and was known for his strong work ethic and friendly nature. Jerry rarely sat still, often filling his time by finding jobs to do and helping those around him. He loved making people laugh and brought humor wherever he went.
Jerry enjoyed hunting, fishing, and searching for a good deal at local sales, appreciating life’s simple pleasures.
He is survived by his mother, Shelby Hill of Cumberland; his sister, Ellie Hill of Cumberland; nephews Taylor (Brooke) Paulson of Cameron and Brandon Hill of Cumberland; niece Cara Hill of Cumberland; and three grandnieces and one grandnephew; and daughter, Sam LaRue of Weyerhaeuser and grandson.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Hill of Spooner; brother Lee Hill; sister Sherrie Cloud; grandparents Ellen and Cliff Slayton of Spooner; and great-grandmother Frances Melton of Spooner.
Jerry will be remembered for his kindness, humor, and thoughtful nature, and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
