On May 27, 2025, Jeanette Marie Henley peacefully rested in the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was born on December 13, 1936, the second child and only daughter of Mary (Rybka) and Steve Widlacki, in Chicago, IL. She had 3 brothers: Steve, Jr., Robert, and William. All preceded her in death.
Jeanette married Bob Henley (deceased) in 1951 and together they had 3 daughters, Kathleen, Susan and Margaret (deceased). Jeanette worked at 3M Co. in Bedford Park, IL for 9 years. She was the first female sales rep for the Hardware Division in outside sales. She worked for 17 years in banking as a personal banking for LaSalle Bank, to later become Bank of America. She retired in 2002 and moved to Barnes, WI. Bob and Jeanette owned the Hilltop Bar in Barnes, WI for a number of years. They retired to Hayward where they continued to enjoy fishing, road trips and the outdoors.
Jeanette loved to shop at thrift stores and was overjoyed when she found the “best deal ever.” She was a passionate reader, watched game shows and the golf channel on TV. She could mostly be found on Facebook and loved to chat with everyone. However, her priority was her faith and she was an active member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Hayward.
Her legacy includes 2 daughters, Kathleen (Gary) Nojd and Susan Prickett (John). Grandchildren: Robert (Linda) Nojd, David (Chrissy) Nojd, Jenny (Jeremy [d]) Haden, Emily (Fred) Ryan, Michael (Liz) Hasenfang, Eric Hasenfang (Michelle), Katherine Prickett, Colleen Cooper (Scott), Nick (Sarah) Henley, Dan Henley, Brody (Hannah) Wood.
Great-grandchildren: Jacob, Cody, David, Donald, Elizabeth, Elena, Violet, Lily, Vincent, Olivia, Harrison, Norman, Tristan, Maddy [d], Ian, Niya, Hunter, Marlena, Raeannah and Nash.
Jeanette had many nieces, nephews and cousins whom she deeply loved and cherished.
A funeral mass will be held on Monday, June 30, 2025, at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hayward, WI, at 11:00 AM. A visitation will take place one hour prior at the church. An interment will follow at the Greenwood Cemetery in Hayward. A luncheon will take place at the church following the graveside service.
