Helga Dahle

Helga Dahle, age 86, of Spooner, WI, passed away at her home on Monday, September 9, 2024.

Helga was born on July 12, 1938, in Kaiserslautern, Germany, to parents Herman and Johanna Liebrich. Helga met the love of her life, Harold Dahle, while he was stationed in Germany while serving in the US Army. The couple were married on April 16, 1955, had three children, and raised their family across the globe. The Army brought their family to Germany, France, and numerous posts across the United States. While they were stationed in Missouri she ran Helga’s Pizza. After Harold’s retirement from the Army the family settled in Rockford, IL, where they both worked at Amerock Corp. Eventually the couple retired to Northern Wisconsin where they ran Dahle’s Campground in Sarona, WI. Helga worked at Gray’s Research in Rice Lake, WI, Katie Shack and other various bars and restaurants in the area. Long after her retirement, Helga continued to work at Connections and Venture Thrift Stores.

Helga is survived by her children, Marcia Guzman of Shell Lake, WI, and Howard (Lea) Dahle of Stone Lake, WI; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Harold Dahle Jr.; and 4 siblings.

A graveside service will take place at the Nora Cemetery in Rice Lake, WI, on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. A gathering of family and friends will follow at The Prime in Trego, WI, from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m.
