Geraldine Sue (Zacker) Swick

Geraldine Swick, age 87, of Hayward, WI passed away on Friday, December 26, 2025, at Indianhead Medical Center in Shell Lake, WI.

Geraldine was born February 15, 1938, in Hammond, IN, the daughter of Clarence and Grace (Kruger) Zacker.  She was baptized March 12, 1938, in North Judson, IN and confirmed on June 1, 1952, at Griffith Lutheran Church in Griffith, IN.  Geraldine graduated from Griffith High School and lived in Highland, IN before moving to Hayward, WI in 1987.  Geraldine owned and operated Snowshoe Bar until 2013.  She was an active member of the Ladies Guild at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hayward for many years.

Geraldine is survived by two grandchildren; one great grandchild; three sisters, Linda Staresnick of Hayward, WI, Elizabeth Maugherman of Gary, IN, and Karen Mosher of Michigan City, IN; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Michael B. Peterson; two brothers, Don and Clarence Jr. Zacker; three sisters, Hazel McElfresh, Shirley Hall and Arline Steele.

Later, a private service is being held for Geraldine at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Hayward with Pastor Roy Berquist officiating.  She will be laid to rest at the Greenwood Cemetery in Hayward, WI.
