Frank Roger Melton

Frank Roger Melton, age 91, a resident of Spooner, died on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at Glenview Living in Shell Lake.

Frank was born in Spooner, on May 24, 1934, to parents Robert and Elsie (Young) Melton.

Frank is preceded in death by his parents Robert and Laurel Melton, his wife Verneal Melton (Taylor), daughters Deborah Trudell and Teresa Melton, son Michael Melton.

Survived by sons Frank Melton (Kathy), and Joseph Melton (Daniel), daughters Tammy Lehmann (Andrew), and Mary Baumgart (Peter), grandsons: Adrian Melton, Kaleb Melton, Charlie Trudelle, Drew Lehmann, Ryan Lehmann, Eli Baumgart, granddaughters: Jessica Winter, Kristen Lange, Karleigh Melton, Jessica Clements, Nichole Lehmann, Elizabeth Geiski, and daughter in law Karen Melton.

Dad was an amazing man. He was an Operating Engineer by profession, but he was also a carpenter, brick layer, mechanic, pulper, and builder. Whatever needed doing, he did. He loved to ride Harley motorcycles and travel with Mom. Much Loved. He will be missed.

A gathering of friends and family will be held on Friday, June 5, 2026, from 4-6pm, at the Spooner Funeral Home.  Interment with Military Honors will be held at the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
