Evelyn Blanche Frederickson, 97, of Lampson, died on Sunday, April 12, 2026 at Vita Care Living Center in Rice Lake.
Evelyn was born on September 21, 1928 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin to Erick and Bessie Johnson. She was married to Willard Frederickson of Gilmanton on September 29, 1945. In 1948 they moved to a dairy farm in the Lampson area. She worked the farm with her husband while also raising six children.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1994, an infant son, and her siblings Wally and Neil Johnson and sister Glenace Anderson, daughter-in-law Joyce Frederickson, and son-in-law Roger Hess.
She is survived by her six children, Darlene (John) Buchman and Arlene (Dave) Buchman and Willard Jr of Lampson, and Sue (Brian) Wagner of Eau Claire, WI, Rita Hess of Frederic, WI, and Betty (Les) Johnson of Chaska, MN. She was a loving grandmother to 19 grandkids and 41 great-grands.
Her many interests included baking (especially lefsa and raised doughnuts), quilting, church activities, embroidery, flowers (especially petunias) bird watching, country music, and spending time (playing cards) with her family.
She was a long-time member of Christ Lutheran Church in Lampson where her funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 25 with visitation from 9:00-11:00 and a service of Christian burial following at 11:00. Interment will be in the Lampson cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Christ Lutheran Church.
