Esther K (Nieves) Gallegos

Esther K Gallegos, age 95, of Hayward, WI passed away on Sunday, May 18, 2025, at Aspen Acres Assisted Living.

Esther was born on February 7, 1930, in Clovis, NM to Gabriel and Isabel Nieves. She was raised in Clovis and graduated from Clovis High School.

Shortly after high school, she married Manuel B. Gallegos on February 25th, 1949, in San Francisco, CA. The two of them moved to Fremont, CA, which was their forever home. During this time Esther took care of their children as a homemaker. Once Manuel passed away, she moved to Edina, MN to be closer to her daughter. When her daughter moved to the Hayward area, she followed.

Esther enjoyed things like baking, shopping, and was an incredible cook. Her fun and feisty attitude was never dull when you were around her.

Esther is survived by her three children, Sandy (Jeff) Abrams of Winter WI, Richard Gallegos (Michael Wirthlin) of Freemont CA, and Michael (JoAnne) Gallegos of Mount Pleasant SC; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Esther is preceded in death by her husband, Manuel B. Gallegos and her parents.
