Elizabeth Jordan Tripp passed into the presence of Jesus her Savior September 9th, 2025.
Betty was born in Hayward, WI to John and Erica Newton Jordan, 8-2-1931. Growing up in small town America was something to be cherished. She lived three blocks from Main Street. Behind her was a creek and endless fields, a kid's dream. A church and school were six and seven blocks from home. After graduating from high school in 1949, Betty worked
at the Commonwealth Telephone Co. as an operator. In 1951 she was chosen as Hayward's Musky queen. Later, she worked for Dr. Desmond Callaghan as a receptionist where she had on the job training in various medical procedures. She was never going to marry a farmer, but in 1950 she met Wayne. They met at a roller rink in Stone Lake, WI. They married June 16, 1954, and yes, they moved to the family farm in the township of Stone Lake, Springbrook, WI. Together they raised three sons and two daughters. On June 8, 1975, Betty accepted Christ as her personal Savior at a Lundstrom Crusade in Rice Lake, WI and then became a member of the Spooner Wesleyan Church where she served until Covid. Betty loved to knit, read and write letters.
She is survived by her beloved husband Wayne of 71 years, and children Timothy, Suzanne and Vern Scott, Daniel and Marshia Tripp, Kevin and Robin Tripp and Michelle and Robert Ortmann. They were blessed with 19 grandchildren, 39 great-grands plus 5 great-great grandchildren.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, daughter-in-law Annie Tripp, twin newborn sons and two she's yet to meet.
The family will be holding a private memorial service.
“For God so loved the world that He gave His
one and only Son, that whoever believes in
Him will not perish, but have eternal life.”
John 3:16
