Edward "Eddie" Ness

Edward “Eddie” A. Ness, age 92, a lifelong resident of Crystal Township, died on Thursday, June 4, 2026, at his home

Eddie was born on August 18, 1933, on the family farm, to Kolbjorn and Dora (Herdt) Ness. He attended Blooming Valley one room school and then attended and graduated from Spooner High School. Eddie was united in marriage to Vanetta Cook, and together they continued the Ness family farm.

Eddie is survived by his children: Shelly, Lonnie (Hye Ran), and Christ, grandchildren: Carrie, Jessie, Zach, Lona, and Matthew, Robert and Kimberley, 15 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, brothers: Norman (Donna), Donald (Geraldine), Coburn (Mary), and Raymond (Toni); and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Vanetta, grandson, Josh, sisters Edith Mann and Selma Ness and his brothers Henry and Kenneth Ness.

A gathering of friends and family will be held on Monday, June 15, 2026, from 10- 3pm at the Spooner Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at the Anah Cemetery at 3:30PM
