Douglas Warren Jorgensen

Douglas Jorgensen, age 64, of Spooner, WI, passed away on Sunday, August 17, 2025, at his home. 

Douglas Warren Jorgensen was born June 13, 1961, in Shell Lake, WI, the son of James and Marion (Becker) Jorgensen.  He was raised in Spooner and graduated from high school there.  He continued his education at a technical college in La Crosse, WI where he studied commercial art.  Upon his graduation, Doug moved to Florida where he worked for a few years before returning to Wisconsin.  Doug became licensed as an over the road trucker and drove semi-tractors throughout the country for many years.  Doug was always an avid reader and enjoyed watching and reading about Formula 1, IndyCar and motorcycle racing. 

Doug is survived by his mother, Marion Jorgensen of Spooner, WI; and brother, Russ Jorgensen of Mesa, AZ.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Jorgensen.

A funeral service will be held for Doug at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Spooner with Pastor Heather Kistner officiating.  A visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Thursday at the church.  Interment will be in the Spooner Cemetery.
