Dorothy Hedman, age 93, passed away on February 16, 2025.
Dorothy was born June 4, 1931, in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, the daughter of Warren and Hilda
Stevens. She was a graduate of Necedah (Wisconsin) High School.
She was a bookkeeper at J.M. Bostwick Department Store in Janesville, Wisconsin.
She had been a member of First Lutheran Church, Hayward, Wisconsin, since moving to
Hayward in 1989.
Her many hobbies included reading, her excellent cooking, and entertaining family and friends.
Dorothy was an avid sports fan, especially of all Wisconsin teams, including the Packers,
Badgers, Brewers, and Bucks.
On January 8, 1950, she married Robert G. Hedman in Arkdale, Wisconsin. They lived in
Janesville for thirty-six years before retiring in Hayward.
Dorothy's biggest joy in life was her family. She is survived sons Robert Jr. of Hayward,
Wisconsin, Steven (Qun) of Hayward, Greg of Hayward, and Terry of Machesney Park, Illinois,
and daughter, Lori (Steve) Terwileger, of Osseo, Wisconsin; ten grandchildren, and fourteen
great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, her parents and her brothers Warren, Fred,
Tom, Bob, and her sister Patricia.
A memorial is being planned for the summer.
