Donald Lane

Donald Kenneth Lane, age 70, of Trego, WI, passed away on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, after a long battle with kidney and heart failure.

Don was born on October 9, 1953, in Shell Lake, WI, to parents, Donald and Dolores (Enger) Lane. Don was raised in Trego, WI, and graduated from Spooner High School. Most of his working life, Don was an independent truck driver in the northern Wisconsin area. He spent a few years in the early 2000’s living with his parents in Arizona until his mother fell ill and the two of them moved back to Trego with Don’s sister, Teresa.

Don enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping, and pontoon trips. Don loved to travel and would go on long adventures on his Harley. He raised chickens and rabbits and would take the grandkids out to collect eggs, giving him the title the “Chicken Man”.

Don is survived by his children, Bridget (Steve), Travis (Jackie), Jennifer (Steve), Donnie Jr.,  and grandchildren, Miguel, Kayla, Ty, Isaiah, Brianne, Jonathan, Cole, Samuel, and Rebekah; great grandchildren, Norvina, Oliver, Lydia. His girlfriend, Mickey Bryan her children; Johnny, Merry, Kalob, and her grandchildren Graycen, Finley; siblings, Louis (Irene), Teresa (Bob), Kitty (Bob), Donna (Dennis), and Debbie (Steve); and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents.
